Scholarships and Funding
In March 2011, the program received eight Capes-Proap scholarships that replaced the old Capes-Prof scholarships. During 2011, the program was granted four more scholarships for a total of 12 Capes-Proap scholarships, which are currently in effect. Besides those, 15 scholarships of the Capes-REUNI program were converted and incorporated into the Capes scholarship quota.
FAPEMIG has been granting two scholarships to the course since 2007. In 2014, the program was granted three more FAPEMIG scholarships through the FORTIS Project.
The program had one 24-month CNPq scholarship, MCT/CNPq Notice no. 70/2009 – Programa de Expansão da Pós-Graduação em Áreas Estratégicas – PGAEST, in effect from April 2010 through March 2012.
The course’s faculty has ongoing projects funded by the governmental agencies CNPq and FAPEMIG. The resources allocated to these projects may include Master’s Degree scholarships and are used to fund project activities, supply the research laboratories with up-to-date equipment, and pay for supplies, books, tickets, and lodging.
